The course aims at giving the students the necessary knowledge, understanding and operation with different concepts, principles, theories and practices specific to organization’s quality and innovation management in concrete business situations. Moreover, it is intended to provide the students with practical experience in the field through developing a real life group project and participating in various case studies. Upon completion of this course, students will: be able to use quality and innovation as competitive weapons to build organization’s competitive advantages; be able to recognize the characteristics of a culture of quality improvement and a culture of innovation in the organization; be able to demonstrate an understanding of the value and benefits of developing an ISO 9001 quality management system and an ISO 56002 innovation management system in the organization; demonstrate an understanding of the practices and tools for assessing innovation management capabilities and developing innovation partnerships; demonstrate an understanding of the practices and tools for developing a business continuity system and a TQM business excellence model; and be able to analyse the quality costs and evaluate organization’s performance excellence.
