Lecturer, PhD

I graduated the doctoral study program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Bucharest in the field of stochastic processes. I continued my research activity in this field and in other related fields, being particularly interested in the theory of ruin.

In 2002 I was hired as a researcher at the Institute of Mathematical Statistics and Applied Mathematics ‘Gh. Mihoc – C. Iacob’ of the Romanian Academy.

In the teaching activity, which I started during my master’s studies, I collaborated with several universities. I have taught courses and seminars on general mathematics, statistics and probability at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science and since 2012 I have collaborated with the University of Economic Studies.
