Lecturer, PhDThe Leadership and Performance Management course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of leadership and the key practices that contribute to effective leadership. The course focuses on understanding what it means to be a good leader and provides a practical approach to leadership by examining essential topics such as leadership traits, philosophy, and styles, as well as task and relationship management. Students will learn to develop and apply leadership skills, create a vision, establish a positive work climate, and handle conflict.
Throughout the course, students will explore leadership models, the importance of networking, and the challenges of balancing theory with real-world practice. The course emphasizes the development of practical strategies for managing people and improving performance, providing students with the tools to build strong leadership abilities and handle day-to-day management situations. By assessing their own leadership traits and skills, students will enhance their leadership performance and be better equipped to navigate challenges in various leadership roles.
