Associate LecturerThis course is designed to introduce first-year students in the Faculty of Business Administration to the basics of computer programming using Python. Through a combination of lectures, seminars, and hands-on exercises, students will learn how to write Python code to solve simple problems and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The main objective of this course is to help students understand the importance of algorithms in problem-solving and how to develop them using Python. They will learn how to work with basic data types, variables, operators, expressions, and control structures, as well as more complex data structures like lists, tuples, and vectors. Additionally, students will learn how to use functions to solve problems in Python and how to test and debug their code. By the end of this course, students will have gained practical skills in Python programming and developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will be useful in a variety of academic and professional contexts. They will be able to analyze and interpret Python programs and algorithms, develop simple Python programs to solve basic problems, and use testing and debugging techniques to identify and correct errors in Python code. Overall, this course is an excellent foundation for students who want to pursue further studies in computer science or related fields, as well as for those who want to develop practical programming skills that can be applied in various industries.
