This course represents, on the one hand, a continuation of the course of Romanian language in the first semester, and aims at continuing familiarizing the students with more complex vocabulary and grammar of the Romanian language so as to enable them to perform and communicate in the Romanian environment proficiently, and at the same time to use Romanian language effectively for study purpose across the curriculum. On the other hand, given the specificity of their studies, i.e. business studies, the course aims at consolidating the students’ knowledge of more specific business vocabulary, with the informal and formal, standard language, offering both a solid theoretical background, but also varied exercises and practice specific for the field of business studies in Romanian language. The course is highly interactive, using and presenting different audio and video materials, encouraging students to engage in role-play activities, project presentations, intercultural communication, and written materials. The course is designed according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, because of the various linguistic and cultural background of the students, it emphasizes their cultural skills together with their speaking/writing and listening/reading skills.
