This course represents, on the one hand, a continuation of the courses of the Romanian language in the first year of studies, and aims at accustoming the students to more specific business vocabulary and informal/formal registers of the Romanian language, and with more complex grammatical constructions. During the classes, the students will learn and practice relevant words and phrases or idioms necessary for business communication, will write descriptions of people, places, and things and respond imaginatively to textual questions, will write paragraphs, and letters (personal and official) simple, narrative pieces, reports, notices, messages, diary entries, etc. The course includes various exercises, such as oral reports and broadcasts, newspaper articles and analyses, and encourages students to relate to all these materials from the position of a future specialist in business administration. Given the multicultural and multilingual background of the students, the course encourages Romanian language learning and practice in a multilingual environment and with the purpose of intercultural communication.
