This course will expose the students to the basic vocabulary and grammatical structures of the Romanian language, aiming at enabling them to communicate effectively and appropriately in real-life situations. Given the fact that the students come from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, the course also cultivates Romanian language learning in a multilingual environment, encouraging intercultural communication, at the same time enabling the students to develop and integrate the use of the four languages skills i.e. Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing, as the course is designed according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. During the classes, the students will prepare presentations of their own on different topics in the Romanian language, will be exposed to audio and video materials, will create written and oral responses to those, will perform role-play activities and will produce original texts in the Romanian language.
