He received the honorary degree and the Diploma of Doctor Honoris Causa from: University of Oradea (1998), Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (1999), University of Craiova (2000) and “Stefan cel Mare” University of Suceava (2010).

He was the Head of the UNESCO Chair for Business Administration (2008-2011) and the Director of the Research Center for Intellectual Capital (2007-2011), the Faculty of Business Administration, the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. Professor Bratianu was Visiting Scientist, Institute of Nuclear Safety, Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe, Germany (1995), Expert in the National Commission of Romania for UNESCO (1993), Adviser to the Minister, Ministry of Education (1994), Expert in the PHARE program for educational reform superior (1996-1997), General Director for Higher Education, Ministry of National Education (1998-2000, 2005), Expert, Commission for science, education, youth and sport, Chamber of Deputies, Parliament of Romania (2001). He is the founder of the international magazines Management & Marketing. Challenges for the Knowledge Society and Management Dynamics in the Knowledge Economy.

Professor Bratianu has as fields of academic interest: Business Management, Change Management, Strategic Management and Knowledge Management, at the Faculty of Business Administration, with teaching in foreign languages, the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. Professor Bratianu has been Visiting Professor at: Tokyo University of Science and Technology, Tokyo, Japan (2000), Kobe University of Mercantile Marine, Kobe, Japan (2001), Osaka University, Osaka, Japan (2004), Modern University of Technology and Information, Cairo, Egypt (2006), Our Lady of the Lake, San Antonio, Texas, USA (2008), University of Applied Sciences, Steyr, Austria (2009).

Professor Bratianu has carried out a complex and important scientific research activity. He has worked as an expert or as director in more than 20 research grants. He has elaborated as the sole author or co-author over 45 books and over 200 works, which have been published in specialized magazines and volumes of international conferences. It has important contributions in the field of strategic management and knowledge management, developing Theory of organizational integrators and the entropic Model of intellectual capital.
